Can we reclaim money from Paypal account without phone number

     Lets start with good news: With a bit of luck ,yes we can!

    Payment platforms like PayPal, Payoneer, Skrill, and similar services are indeed very useful, but even they sometimes lag in providing solutions for some common issues that trouble users. For example: What happens if we leave money in the account and in the meantime change our phone number, or our prepaid card expires, making it impossible to log in even if we don’t have additional P2P verification?

   The good news is that, with a bit of luck and resourcefulness, it’s possible to recover most of the money; when it comes to account recovery, things get more complicated and aren’t entirely up to us, but we’ll also say something about that. So, let’s first try to ‘recover’ your money in the following steps:

1.  Ask a family member, friend, or acquaintance to log into their account (it would be best if you are both in the same place to avoid any confusion.)
    When it opens go to Create an Invoice option.

2.  Fill out the invoice:

     Enter your original email where the money is located in the Name/Email Address field.

     In the Price field, enter the amount you wish to transfer from your account. If you're not sure about the exact amount because some time may have passed since you last used the account, try a slightly lower amount to avoid complications. Another very good option is to first enter a small symbolic amount, just to ensure that the first transaction goes through. Once you verify that everything is in order, you can repeat the process and transfer the rest without issues!

     In the Quantity field, enter 1 and confirm by selecting the SEND option in the upper right corner.

3.  After you have successfully sent the payment request, log out from the sender's account. Wait a minute or two, then log into the email connected to your original PayPal account. If you sent the invoice correctly, you should receive a message in your inbox with the payment request.
Open the message; it should look something like this:

  • Before clicking on View and Pay Invoice, let’s summarize what we’ve actually done. We have essentially sent a payment request 'to ourselves' from the sender's profile, and now we need to confirm it from our profile.
  • Keep in mind that this transaction is registered as a payment rather than a classic money transfer, so there may be a purchase fee. These vary depending on the amount but should not exceed 4%.

However, it’s not all bad—in fact, since it’s considered a sale, the money will most likely be deposited in the sender’s account almost immediately after the payment is confirmed without the standard waiting period of 3 to 5 business days or even longer.

Finally, if you agree with the steps outlined so far, confirm by clicking on Pay Invoice.

A PayPal window will open where you’ll enter your login details and confirm the payment again from your original profile.

Keep in mind that once you’ve entered your information, the only available option will be to pay the Request, unless you’re particularly lucky—in that case, you may even have the chance to enter a new phone number and recover the entire account this way!

Additionally, we advise once again to start with a smaller amount and then repeat the process to send the remainder. (This way, you’ll lose a bit more on fees, but at least you’ll be sure everything went through correctly)

As for recovering the entire account, you can try the following options:

  • Use the forgot password/email options;
  • Contact PayPal support if possible, or you might have better luck trying to reach them via social media;
  • Try logging in from a different device;
  • Delete the entire app, or if you're on a computer, delete all cookies related to PayPal and then try logging in again.

I hope this has been helpful. Keep in mind that I personally came to this solution only after a few days, even weeks, of intense stress, and thank God, I also had quite a bit of luck—so don’t lose hope!

In any case, have a great day!
